Santa Barbara Island trips are rarer adventures due to the remote location, and are available only on specific dates.  All prices for this trip pay for seats on tandem kayaks.  If you simply must have your own kayak (single occupancy), the price is $295 each.

From May through October, trips are scheduled upon demand (8 person minimum),
and when ferry service is available.

Prices include: ferry reservations and fees, kayaks and kayaking gear at the island, a basic kayaking lesson and safety talk about dealing with sea caves and island paddling conditions, and guides to accompany, advise, inform, and assist you on the water. (Call us if you have already made your ferry reservations.)

We are very pleased to make every effort to make alternate scheduling arrangements
if our regular itinerary or dates are not convenient!

WHY ARE PEOPLE IN 2-PERSON KAYAKS LESS EXPENSIVE DURING PEAK SEASON?
The total number of kayaks that can be on the water within the Park are strictly limited by Park regulations. Consequently, a 2-person kayak will allow for twice as many paddlers as will a 1-person kayak (similar to double occupancy for hotel rooms.) This is why 1-person kayaks are a little more costly during the peak season. Be sure to book your trip absolutely as early as possible to ensure that you can get the kayak type that you desire (or perhaps any kayak at all!)
